This epic Moved hike promises to enchant, with bountiful blooms, beautiful views and the cutest pub finish.
Meeting at the train station in the ancient town of Chilham at 10:30 am, we’ll grab a coffee and make our way out into the surrounding countryside, bursting with life as spring gets well and truly underway. The trail takes us through an undulating landscape which, at this time of year, should be filled with wildflowers, before we join a circular route through King's Wood—blanketed in bluebells.
Depending on the mood of the group, we can take a variety of shortcuts on this hike. Equally, for those who’d like to finish earlier on their own, there’s the opportunity to catch a bus from Challock to Ashford for onward train travel. For those who circle back around to Chilham, there’s the option to stay for a drink at the town’s historic pub.
As we’ll be out in the wilds for most of this hike, please bring lunch, snacks and plenty of water to see you through the day.
