About Moved

Women, female-identifying and non-binary folks have had a long and complex history of non-autonomy over their bodies. Too few of us have experienced the mental, physical and earthly alignment of a long-distance trail — a half-marathon, marathon or even ultramarathon.

And yet, women were made for endurance.

Maybe we don’t feel invited into this world because it’s overtly masculine. Perhaps it’s the competitive overtone that makes us feel uncomfortable when we should be able to access the grounding gift of endurance in a gentler way.

For some of us, embodiment may have been a lifelong struggle. For some of us, trauma may have depleted our confidence and undermined our strength. And that’s what Moved is for. To help us reclaim our nature, whether on a 15 km hike or a 100 km ultra.

So, let’s not compete. Let’s support. Let’s not run when, in a hyper-speed life, it’s such a luxury to go slowly. Instead, let’s lean into the deep connection of a shared trail. A journey spent in sisterhood.

Wherever you are on your path, let’s keep moving forward together.
