Step into a fresh New Year with gorgeous views, old-world charm and beautiful company on the first Moved hike of 2026—a Royal Tunbridge Wells circular.
Meeting at Tunbridge Wells Station at 10:30 am, we’ll grab a coffee and a pastry to go and hit the trail. Our stunning circular route will traverse the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, passing through High Wood, Chase Wood, Whitehill Wood, Forge Wood, Broadwater Warren, Birchden Wood, Friesland Wood, and tracing the River Gram.
The whole circuit is 23 km. But we’ll see how we’re doing for time and daylight, and then adapt the route to take one of the many shortcuts if we need to.
If we’re lucky, we’ll be blessed with one of those perfect, crisp winter days to enjoy the views across High Weald. And we’ll have plenty of opportunity to stop for a picnic. So, please come prepared with lunch, snacks and at least 2 litres of water for the day.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Warm layers
Waterproofs if it’s raining
