Essential kit

  • Comfortable, well-worn-in trail shoes or hiking boots

  • A well-fitting hiking daypack

  • Light trekking trousers/leggings

  • Waterproof jacket

  • Lightweight, moisture-wicking top

  • High-factor SPF

  • Hat

  • Blister plasters — these will be your saviour!

  • Rehydration sachets/tablets

  • Camelpack and or water bottles for carrying minimum 2L water

  • 2x hiking socks — you’ll really appreciate that halfway change

  • Mini first aid kit (see below)

Recommended kit

  • Sunglasses

  • SPF lip balm

  • Tissues/loo roll

  • Hand sanitizer

  • Power bank & cable

First Aid Kit

  • Blister kit - plenty of Compeed, safety pin, small tube of antiseptic cream and/or sterile wipes

  • Rehydration sachets/electrolytes

  • Antihistamines

  • Pain killers - just in case
