Moved is a women’s-only hiking group based in South East England, created to help more women, trans women and non-binary AFAB folks enjoy the reconnecting benefits of a long hike in nature. So, if you identify as any of the above, you’re wholeheartedly welcome to join any Moved event.
You can learn a bit more about why I set Moved up here. -
You know what? You wouldn’t be the first Hiker to think they might not gel with the group dynamic, only to find that they form solid friendships with their fellow Hikers! The Moved community is beautifully open and friendly. There’s honestly never been a bad vibe.
That said, if you’re very anxious about joining a group event, I now offer 1-2-1 Moved hikes! From 2-hour, half-day and full-day private one-on-one bookings to 10-Hike Passes, this is a great way to learn to step out in confidence—fully supported—without the need to navigate a group setting.
1-2-1s are ideal for people who:
are rebuilding confidence and fitness after an injury or illness
are training for an endurance event
are looking for a walking buddy who can plan a gorgeous route and lead the way
If you’re interested, you can book a free “meet-and-greet” walk to see if we’re a good fit!

Some of our hikes are challenging for sure. But that’s kinda the point! I know—firsthand and from the many, many women who’ve hiked with me—that a long trail seems so much shorter when you’re out in nature and deep in conversation. The miles honestly melt away in good company!
And if you’re still not sure the bigger hikes are for you, don’t be intimidated. I try to find early finish points on the longer ones, and if I can’t, I’ll make my Hikers aware. So, you can come for a bit, or stay the whole hike. It’s completely up to you!
As a general rule of thumb, the longest hikes fall in the lighter months. And in the darker seasons, distances are capped at 15 to 20 kilometres. -
I’m thinking about it! I’d love to offer Moved in more places, so watch this space. And if you’ve got a specific hike route or event in mind, did you know that I now offer private group hikes?
So, why not reach out if you want me to facilitate a hike in a different region?!

The most important piece of “kit” on a Moved hike is a very comfy pair of shoes! Doesn’t matter whether they’re hi-tech hiking boots or your most worn-in pair of trainers. Unless it’s wet and muddy, of course. In which case, trainers aren’t advised!
You don’t need to spend loads of money on fancy gear. Heck, sometimes I turn up to a summer hike in a moth-eaten pair of old linen trousers. We’re not repping for an activewear brand here, folks. Just wear what you feel most free and comfortable in.
If you sign up for a hike, I’ll usually offer advice on what to wear and bring in the hike description. Then I’ll send out a reminder email about a week or so before, with all the same info.

Excellent question! Our shared values and safety are super important to me, too. That’s why I wrote the Moved Manifesto, which is pinned right at the top of my Instagram account.
To summarise, no form of hatred will be tolerated on a Moved hike. This is a beautiful community of open, compassionate, self-aware women.
If you have any specific concerns, please do reach out to me at hello@movedwmn.co.uk. -
Item descriptiYes! I love connecting with people. And I’m always open to chatting about a new collab idea with like-minded business owners.
