Folks, it’s been another year. So, who’s ready to shake it off with a gorgeous wintry hike that swings through a Christmas market and ends with a big old celebration at Club, Folkestone? There’s a welcome drink, plant-based feast and lucky-dip gift all included in your ticket!
Meeting at Folkestone Central Station at 12 noon, we’ll head down to the harbour, then out west along the England Coast Path. We’ll walk to Seabrook following the shore, before heading inland and uphill to Paraker Woods for a short circular. We’ll then head back towards the coastline via Sene Valley and onwards to Folkestone’s famous Harbour Arm Christmas Market.
After a brief meander through the stalls, we’ll head up Tontine Street to Club—our venue for the evening! There, we’ll be treated to a festive welcome drink and a delicious plant-based spread, lovingly crafted by vegan chef, Amy.
There’ll be tunes and merriment a-plenty, plus a paid bar offering a couple of Christmassy cocktails/mocktails for those who fancy an extra tipple. Then, before we head off, everyone gets a chance to rummage in the lucky dip and take home a little Moved gift.
This is a relatively easy hike, which is mostly flat. Come prepared with lunch and at least two litres of water.
We’ll be arriving at Club by 4 pm and wrapping up by 7 pm. But if you need to leave earlier, you’re more than welcome to head off after you’ve had a nibble.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Warm layers and a hat
Waterproofs if it’s raining
